Some sort of raptor? These guys hung out in the trees located behind the apartment building where we were staying while our house was being readied. We were on the 4th floor so we had a great view of their perches.

Yellow-billed Kite. It's a raptor and hangs out in suburban areas. The all-yellow bill is the key to it. Many other raptors have a black tip at the point of the bill. I'll bet that was fun to watch them, from their level.
ReplyDeleteThose cranes are cool, too. They're Grey Crowned Cranes, or also called Southern Crowned Cranes. That's quite the top-knot! Annie, I'll bet you can make friends with them...
